Membership
Club members shoot various bow styles that include recurve, barebow, longbow and compound.
Members have year-round access to the site and are able to shoot 7-days a week using both the indoor and outdoor shooting facilities. The indoor range is equipped with full electric lighting, and we have approval from Ashford Borough Council to use the facilities up to 9:00pm each day.
The Club has level access from the car park, via a concrete path, to the archery field, the indoor range and the clubhouse. The concrete path also extends the full width of the shooting line, ensuring we are wheelchair friendly even during the wet winter months.
We are a very friendly club, and we are always happy to show prospective members around the Club’s facilities. The best time to visit the club is on Saturday morning between 9:00am and 1:00pm which is when we hold our weekly Club Shoot. To ensure that a Committee member is available to look after you during you visit please contact the Club’s Membership Secretary at membership@1066archery.co.uk to arrange a suitable date and time.
Types of Membership
The club has three different types of membership available: –

The fee payable is the Club’s Annual Membership less the cost of Archery GB, Kent Archery Association and Sothern Counties Archery Society (all these having been paid as part of their full membership at their main club).
- Non-Shooting Member – Provide support a archer enabling them to participate in the sport. These members must be registered with Archery GB but being a supporting role means there is no charge from either Archery GB, 1066 Archery Club, any other affiliated body.
